Genk will be aiming to cement top position in the Jupiler League standings when they host Charleroi to their Cegeka Arena on Matchday 16.
The league leaders aim to move one step closer to winning their fifth domestic trophy. Genk are on an eight-game winning run in the Belgian top flight, but they can’t afford any complacency in Friday’s showdown.
Both Angelo Preciado and Bilal El Khannous are banned for the match.
The Black and Whites, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Antwerp, and they managed to get one thanks to Nadir Benbouali’s goal.
Charleroli did well to put an end to their four-match winless run at the weekend, but we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Genk’s party at Cegeka Arena.
As for the visiting team, Ken Nkuba Tshiend is sidelined through suspension, while Stefan Knezevic has yet to recover from a knee injury.
