Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has met with the club about one of its vacant academy coaching positions.
Following the departures of Kevin Betsy, manager of the Under 23s, and Dan Micciche, head coach of the Under 18s, Under 23 manager Per Mertesacker is looking for replacements.
The 30-year-old is still believed to want to play, but the Evening Standard reports that Wilshere has discussed the two vacant positions with former teammate Mertesacker.
